Souths Cares are delivering their KARI Wellbeing Program to schools around Sydney. They've inspired thousands of students across 34 schools and they're pumped to motivate thousands more!

The KARI Wellbeing program is an interactive program that offers 40 minute lessons for primary an secondary school students. The programs are delivered by a Souths Cares Ambassador and focus on critical health topics ranging from Recognising Bullying, Oral health(Eat Well, Brush Well), Get Moving (Exercise and Nutrition), Surf Safely (Online Safety and Cyberbullying) and Dream Believe, Achieve (Resilience and Goal setting).

Former Rabbitoh Beau Champion has been a big part of the Souths Cares KARI Wellbeing program and has provided positive experiences, and Rabbitohs gifts, for the students. Neil Atwell from Malabar Primary School was impressed by Champion's ability to capture the attention of his students.

"Our students gained some great insights into effective strategy for dealing with situations of bullying," said Mr Atwell.

"Whenever a program and important message is delivered from someone who is a hero for many of them, the message is so much more powerful!"

Tom Spencer from Eastlake Public School gave similar feedback on the KARI Wellbeing Program:

"The whole session ran very smoothly and the students were delighted and highly informed. Souths Cares were an absolute pleasure to deal with and Beau was happy to answer questions and sign autographs for the kids," said Mr Spencer.

Students who took part in the KARI Wellbeing Program from Tempe Public School have been asking their teacher Dianne Tonpi when Beau will be coming back.

"All of our students and teachers thought it was excellent.. So much so they want to see if you can come back!" said Mrs Tonpi.

In just half a year the great work of Souths Cares has made a massive impact on the local community and with another six months to go there is plenty of excitement in the charity arm of the Rabbitohs about how many students they can inspire.
